POST VCE LIFE:KL Day 2

Day2: Girls do what they do bests, SHOPPING!

The day began at 12 noon when Mai and Lucie who was sleeping in the room next door barged into Nicole and my room and started to jump up and down on our bed.....

Today we decided it was going to be shopping shopping and more shopping, however we did not leave the house till 3pm (glad the shops doesn't close ridiculously early like Melbourne!) When we arrive at the nearby mall, we decided we needed food, we were starving so TGIF here we come.

BBQ Grilled Chicken Salad for myself

Lucies' Chicken Salad

Now it was time for some solid 6 hours of serious shopping.
First was Zara, but they were selling a lot of winter collections and that really confused me.. I mean KL never has winter??? Why do they sell fur coats and woollen sweaters?  But according to Nicole, in Malaysia they still follow what the American stores sell, and the people who work in offices will still wear coats and stuff under air conditioned rooms. WHAT?! ANYWAYS. We pretty much went into every store but my first purchase was in Forever21 where I got a shirt and a pair of maroon shorts, which took me another hour to find and buy. Yes the shops in Asia are all massive!
Then we had Haagen-Dazs so we can relief our poor legs.
Iced Mocha for Lucie and I

Berry something for Nicole and Mai

After the drinks off we headed towards more shopping. H&M was next on the list, but nothing was really appealing to me so I just sat one of those boyfriend stool and waited... and waited... and yay finally they are done after like nearly another hour?! We then headed towards the higher end clothing shops, the closest was Armani Exchange who was having a sale, how convenient! I ended up getting a nice short black semi formal dress which was on 37% off and one of their Logo shirts. We were pretty much dead by the time we walked out of AX, so we headed for snack stores and bought snacks and ended up buying Poppin' Cooking! YAY
That night Nicole's dad decided to take us out for some beer.. it was not just some beer, I would say theres about 7-8 pints in there.... It was too tall for my photo.
I have roughly 4 cups, and was bright red (thanks to my asian flush......) while the others looked completely fine. We ended up chatting the night away. What a way to end a night.

POST VCE LIFE: Kuala Lumpur Day 1

It's been a while since my last post... I had no idea that even Blogspot would be blocked in China.... Ridiculous.
SO after VCE was all over, my friends Lucie, Nicole, Mai and I went on a little trip to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and HK, one week in each of the cities. We were lucky enough to have free stay and even a personal driver (Nicoles' dad) in Malaysia, YAY. Much appreciated <3

I have a very detailed diary entry on everything we did in KL, but that would be boring as fuck, so here are the fun bits.

DAY 1: Nearly died due to the humidity, and it was only 6:30am in KL...
We were soooo glad to be picked up by Nicoles' dad and headed straight to Nicoles' air conditioned home. We then was treated to some breakfast before us four decided to go Karaoking for 5 whole hours!!! At One Utama Shopping centre. It was soooo cheap and we were given a ticket for one plate of food at the buffet!?
Ok honestly, the food was really shit... BUT 5 hours of Karaoke + a drink each + food and it only came to a total of 69.60 Ringgit, meaning 17.4 Ringgit per person, less than $6AUD!? I Love Asia!
At night Nicoles' parents took us out for dinner, it was great, except the humidity made everyone sticky and gross! After dinner Nicole's cousin took us to some local hanging place and we tried some Shisha, fuck it was good as, although the melon one just tasted like mint and wasn't as strong as the watermelon one.
After a long day, us four decided to have some girl time, MASKS AND POPCORN!
From left to right, Nicole, Mai and Lucie
Peace Out.

Sorry for taking so long! Day 2 will be out ASAP... Didn't realise that blogging life would be so much effort.

1 Hour of Productive Shopping

Today Chaddy closed at 9pm, so mum and I went shopping at 8pm, thinking we will just do some window shopping, but actually we ended up buying quite a lot of stuff.

Firstly, I got these White Cove shoes by Lipstick off my friend Lucie, who bought them for me on Iconic.com. It was 20% off for every purchase over $60, so these were only $24! Summer is coming soon so these will be perfect. I super adore white shoes right now, and I love how comfortable these are to walk in.

Then it was off to ZU, since Windsor Smith at Chaddy was closed!? until Saturday :(. Luckily ZU also has great shoes, and my eyes landed on two pairs.
The first one was a Voss White by ZU, the size runs big, so I bought a size 8, whereas normally I'm 8.5 to 9. These were originally $110, but they were on 30% off and so I got them for $77. These are seriously the easiest shoes to walk in, they are weightless, no restriction on the feet what-so-ever, and the straps just holds your feet to the shoe perfectly, can't wait to wear this.

Then I spotted these black boots with cut outs Burn Black by ZU. I thought these would be perfect for everyday wear throughout the year, as it was boots so in the winter I thought I could put on some colourful thick socks to keep warm. I also love the size of the heel, how its not massive, but can still add a little height (even though I'm already 179cm..) The sleek shape also adds slight feminine feel, compared to my bulky Dr. Martens (which I still love very much). These are also quite comfortable to wear given that the top leathery material is very soft. Was $140, got it for 50%off $70 yay!

Here are the three together.

Lastly, I had to go buy presents for my two best friends Aoi and Nicole, it was their 18th during the exam period, so the party was delayed till next monday.
Nicoles' present was easy, because she knew exactly what she wanted, a game for her new console, while Aoi, having being the artistic, crazy, weird one, it was quite difficult... But I was still able to find a present for her at the Urban Attitude shop, which is filled with strange stuff.

With the help of my mums sharp vision, we found this little Jackalope head decoration thing for hanging on the wall.

How adorable is this!? I wanted one too, but mum said I wasn't cool enough for one :(
This is the side view of it, the red eye is a little creepy..

Here is me holding it to show you guys the size, and my face :) since you guys probably don't know what I look like yet (excluding my friends who are being forced by me to read this blog)

Then there is me trying to kiss it for good luck, to my friend Aoi with her application to London University.

I think I might go back and buy one for myself haha, yes that is how much I like it.

A Little Outing

On the Thursday night, my friends and I went out and had dinner at QPO, Kew in Melbourne after being so exhausted from our last exam.

QPO Beef Burger with Chips
We actually ordered Wedges, but we were so hungry it was gone before I could take a snap

Beef Burger cut in half
Really nicely done favourite dish from the restaurant

Smoked Salmon Fettuccine
My friend ordered this, I tried a little, but I found it slightly salty, but pretty nice.
Fettuccine "Mistero"
This is pasta with chicken and curry... a good(yet odd) combination that caught my eye. However, it disappointed me, as the taste was quite bland, and the chicken was a bit tough. My friend and I who were sharing this dish had to add a lot of salt(NaCl..chem knowledge still stuck in my brain).
The prawns were good though, and the environment was also quite pleasant to dine in.
Pleasant restaurant, but average food :( a little disappointed.

Welcome!

Hi I'm Xin.  This is my blog, where I will be posting everything from my daily life to exciting new adventures. I have just finished my Year12 life, so now I am free as a bird, and therefore will have plenty of spare time to explore the world.

Hopefully my posts will be interesting and enjoyable to read, as I will be posting a lot more in the future.
